Brief Intro

Looking for short duration, low budget and climb hight altitude, So this peak for you. Knamo meaning in their local language is “a white lady”. This is one of the trek able peaks means easy to climb if once your body acclimatized properly. During our base camp stay we will stay near Knamo Lake. On the top of the mountain 360 degree view of Kinnour Valley, Pin Parvati Pass and panoramic view of surrounding peaks.

Detailed itinerary
  • Check in Hotel in manali
  • Can do rest of the shopping if there is anything left which belongs to expeditions
  • Can do site seen
  • Early break fast check out from hotel
  • Move to kaza approx. 200 km journey.
  • Overnight stay in guest house
  • Drive till Kibber through cab apporx. 1 hr drive.
  • Visit key monastery on the way, can reads their manuscripts if you like.
  • Acclimatization walk
  • Day for acclimatize yourself, will go for walk 2-3 hours long.
  • Preparations for climb peak.
  • Today walk through rocky terrain, grassland and cold desert valley
  • Gradual ascent in the end of trek rest of journey almost flat.
  • Early dinner
  • Wake up around 3 am to get ready for climb
  • 4 am approx. trek begins
  • We face two steep inclined faces during trek. First one is extremely steep will take approx. two and half hours
  • Last ridge will take approx. 3 hours
  • Scenic view of surrounding like Pin Parvati Pass, Parang La, Kinnour valley on the top of peak
  • Back to base



  • Trek back to Kibber same route.
  • Drive back Kibber to Kaza same road.
  • Overnight stay at kazza in guest houst



  • Early morning drive to manali.
  • Expect to reach manali by evening


Kindly note that some changes might be done in the itinerary depending upon weather and team acclimatization status. So day 4 can be skipped or can be other changes on the spot.

  • Trekking equipment: Tent (sharing), mattress, sleeping bag, kitchen, dining tent, toilet tent, utensils & crampon ( if Required)
  • Mules to carry common equipment/porters.
  • Meals during road journey
  • Personal rucksack loading charges-INR 1500/- .Rucksack wait not more then11kg if its more than more charges may apply. Cost will remains same if you want offload during the journey.
  • Cost of any kind of travel insurance.
  • Any Expenses of Personal nature such as Travel and medical insurance, Drinks, Laundry, Telephone/Fax, Calls, Additional Porte rage or transportations.
  • Any additional Expenses caused by reason beyond our control such as Natural Calamities(Land Slides, Floods etc.), any accidents, medical evacuations, riots, strikes, evacuation costs, Etc.

Any tips, and any meals apart from the ones mentioned above.

  • Any other tax or service charge, stay charge that could be enforced during this period will be extra and need to be borne by you.
  • Smoking and Any Kind of Alcohol Drinks not allowed During Program.
  • Insurance: All travellers are advised to purchase travel insurance that provide care and services for sickness, Accidents, emergency rescue, ted.

Related to international travel. ―My Raasta and Organizer‖ shall not be responsible for the loss of personal assets and belongings of the travellers due to unavoidable reason or mishap.

Stuff that you need on the trek:-

1. Trekking shoes


With good grip, not sports shoes,

Water proof is well and good

2. Back pack 60-70ltr, a backpack with sturdy straps, supporting frame and raincover.
3. Jacket 2-fleece, 1- warm jacket specially padded one
4. Trek Pants 1-wear, 2 –carry
5. T- shirt 3 , full collared to prevent sun burn
6. Thermals (optional) Those who fees more cold they carry their thermals.
7. Gloves 1-pair, water proof and woolen or fleece should inside.
8. Socks 3-pair
9. Rain gear 1-jacket, 1-pent
10. Woolen cap 1-sun protection, 1-cold protection
11. Sunglasses 1-    Protection from snow blindness
12. Head lamp/torch 1


Day pack Not necessary if you want 20 ltr – to carry your water bottle, medical kit and light snack.
14. Toiletries Toothbrush, toothpaste, toilet roll, moisturizer, light towel, lip balm, sunscrean



15. Cutlery Carry a spoon, coffee mug and lunch box
16. Plastic cover To put every stuff specially cloths inside this and then put this inside the beg.
Mandatory Documents

Ideally this trek for  experienced trekkers but beginner can also do this trek  but for this they need to physically fit , But during our 5 days journey we are covering distance around 25 km approx.. The secret to covering this distance comfortably lies in building your cardiovascular endurance. For that you need to jog at your place regularly at least 3 km/15minute. Start other exercise like cycling , swimming , rock climbing etc. to boost up your inner strength.

You can do some stretching exercise like quadriceps, hip flexors, push up, crunches, side plank left and right, lower back muscles, shoulder exercise.

How to Reach Manali

You can take bus or volvo from ISBT Delhi or from Manjnu Ka Tilla.

If you are planning travel kaza by on your own so you can take cab from manali to kaza or Rampur( Kinnour) to kaza.

You can book your flight from to Bhunter (Kullu).After Bhunter it is about 50 km to manali. you can take taxy or bus from Bhunter to Manali.
