The Deo Tibba Expedition tackles the challenging 6,001m peak in Himachal Pradesh, India. A technically demanding climb involving glacier travel, steep ascents, and potentially crevasse fields, it requires experienced mountaineers with strong acclimatization and rope skills. Success hinges on favorable weather conditions and careful route planning.

Itinerary (12 Days)

*Day 1: Arrive in Manali (2,050 meters / 6,726 feet)*  
- Arrive in Manali via road (e.g., from Delhi or Chandigarh).  
- Check into a guesthouse or hotel, meet the team, and finalize preparations (gear checks, permits).  
- Rest and acclimatize to the altitude. Overnight in Manali.

*Day 2: Drive to Jagatsukh and Trek to Chikka (3,100 meters / 10,170 feet)*  
- Drive from Manali to Jagatsukh village (6-8 km, ~30 minutes).  
- Start trekking from Jagatsukh to Chikka (5-6 hours, ~8 km).  
- Pass through forests and meadows along the Jagatsukh Nala (stream).  
- Camp overnight at Chikka, a scenic spot with water sources.

*Day 3: Trek from Chikka to Seri (3,900 meters / 12,795 feet)*  
- Trek 4-5 hours (~6 km) to Seri, a wide meadow area.  
- Cross streams and ascend gradually, gaining altitude.  
- Set up camp at Seri, surrounded by views of the surrounding peaks.  
- Acclimatization and rest overnight.

*Day 4: Trek from Seri to Tenta (Base Camp) (4,480 meters / 14,698 feet)*  
- Trek 5-6 hours (~7 km) to Tenta, the base camp for Deo Tibba.  
- Cross moraines and approach the snout of the Chota Chandratal glacier.  
- Establish base camp near a small lake or flat area. Overnight in tents.

*Day 5: Acclimatization Day at Base Camp*  
- Rest and acclimatize at Tenta.  
- Optional short hike to nearby heights (e.g., 4,800 meters) for altitude adjustment.  
- Training session: rope techniques, ice axe use, and crampon practice.  
- Early night for the upcoming climb.

*Day 6: Move to Camp 1 (Duhangan Col) (5,200 meters / 17,060 feet)*  
- Trek and climb 5-7 hours from Base Camp to Duhangan Col.  
- Navigate moraines and the glacier; some sections may require fixed ropes.  
- Set up Camp 1 at the col (saddle). Rest and hydrate overnight.

*Day 7: Establish Summit Camp (5,500-5,600 meters / 18,045-18,373 feet)*  
- Short but technical move (3-4 hours) to Summit Camp.  
- Ascend steep snow/ice slopes; ropes and crampons essential.  
- Set up high camp, conserve energy, and prepare for the summit push.  
- Early sleep in tents.

*Day 8: Summit Day (6,001 meters / 19,688 feet) and Return to Camp 1*  
- Start pre-dawn (1-2 AM) for the summit (6-8 hours up).  
- Climb steep ice gullies and snowfields to the broad, dome-like summit.  
- Spend time at the top (weather permitting) for views of Indrasan and beyond.  
- Descend to Camp 1 (4-5 hours), totaling 10-12 hours of effort. Overnight at Camp 1.

*Day 9: Descend from Camp 1 to Base Camp (Tenta)*  
- Trek back 4-6 hours to Base Camp.  
- Easier descent over familiar terrain.  
- Rest and celebrate at Tenta. Overnight in tents.

*Day 10: Trek from Tenta to Chikka*  
- Descend 6-7 hours (~13 km) from Base Camp to Chikka.  
- Retrace steps through Seri, enjoying the lower altitude.  
- Camp overnight at Chikka.

*Day 11: Trek from Chikka to Jagatsukh, Drive to Manali*  
- Trek 4-5 hours back to Jagatsukh (~8 km).  
- Drive to Manali (30 minutes).  
- Check into a guesthouse, relax, and enjoy a hot meal. Overnight in Manali.

*Day 12: Depart from Manali*  
- Depart for your next destination (e.g., Delhi, ~14-hour drive).  
- Expedition ends.
